KENT POLICE

KENT POLICE.
It would seem that someone made a tasteless, and offensive
Internet posting , as detailed below on the Kent Police Web Site.
*****************
A man is due to be interviewed by police this morning
following reports that a picture of a burning poppy had been
posted on a social media website.
Officers were contacted at around 4pm yesterday
 Sunday, 11 November 2012
 and alerted to the picture,
which was reportedly accompanied by an offensive comment.
Following an investigation by Kent Police
 a 19-year-oldCanterbury man was
arrested on suspicion of an offence
under the malicious communications act. He is
 currently in custody.

Surely though the Police reaction is entirely over the top,
One has the impression that summary justice
has been administered by retaining this person in Custody,
when he might well have been interviewed on the morrow.
This week there are to be Elections
for a series of Crime and Police Commissioners'
for  seemingly Government realises that there is a need
for other Leadership within the Police Service.
I have no intention of voting in that election
as I do not have the slightest knowledge of any of the Candidates
on offer in my area, nor do I think that  we should be having
unwanted Commissioners thrust upon us. Some of whom are
likely to be Party Political Appointees.

What the Police Service needs is the re-establishment
of Lord Trenchard's Junior Office Entry to the Police Service.
